SET of 4 Carpenter Bee Traps Boring Handmade Soft Pine Termite
SET OF 4 Carpenter Bee Trap Boring Handmade from Soft Pine Untreated Wood. Also known as Termite Bees or Red Mason Bees, these bees bore holes in decks, porches, etc. to lay eggs. Once eggs hatch, Woodpeckers can hear the larvae and will destroy the wood to eat the bee larvae.
These hand-made bee traps are designed to trick the bees into using a hole that mimics the hole that a carpenter bee would make to lay eggs. The bees prefer to use existing holes and will choose a hole over drilling their own when possible. These traps have holes that are the exact diameter and angle that a bee would make. The hole connects to a center chamber that goes down into a glass jar. The bee goes into the hole, sees light and gets confused by the light. The bee then follows the light to the jar, which traps the bee. Once in the jar, the bee is unable to go back through the chamber.
If you would prefer to relocate the bees, you can easily remove the jar from the trap to release the bees into an area away from your deck or porch!!!
These traps are constructed of UNFINISHED, UNTREATED PINE base!! (SOFT wood that attracts Carpenter Bee's!!)
I built a NEW deck this past spring and noticed IMMEDIATELY these bee's starting to drill holes into my BRAND NEW deck!! I made a couple of these, and not a single other hole was drilled into our deck, and we caught a MASSIVE amount this year!! I will always put these up every Spring/Summer!!
GREAT Value for the price!! and FAST Service!!
